multi touch?

In this video Jeff Han shows off his new multi touch capability pad.
This video for me although very short, shows how every single day, every single hour, and every single minute, we are creating new, and more efficient ways of doing things. Jeff Han shows how his touch pad, can do more active board learning type stuff, and how it is alot cheaper than what apple is charging for something that is not very hard to make. He also talks about how if he keeps getting funding, these pads could possibly hit the market, for half the price as tablets out right now. What if these came to our school systems Yay or Nay??

LA Proposal-Austin B

The 4 Elements of Autonomy (Task, Technique, Time, Team)
I will choose my task, which is installing two 10" radiator fans on my newly purchased car.
My technique will be greatly influenced,by my dad as he will be teaching me and helping me learn.
Time, i shoot to get this done by the end of this weekend, if i start working on the fitment, and measurements of the fans.
My team will be me and my dad, a little father son learning adventure.
How does it promote mastery? Of course, you won't become a master at something in two weeks, but you can still include the elements that would promote you heading in that direction.
Although i wont become a master mechanic, in a matter of two weeks, this will help me towards my goal, of being aa mechanic. If i can leanr how to install radiator fans, it is once less thing i have to learn when going to school for this job.
What's the purpose behind your learning adventure?
Not only to improve the performance, and life of my vehicle, but to learn little tricks and tips as we go, so that way i can pass this information onto my kids when i become a father someday.

Ive got flow yes i do, Ive got flow how bout you!?

Conducting the flow experiment, was quite interesting. I enjoyed learning what elements of my day really intriqued me, and which elements really in fact just bored me. It seems i was in flow the most, while working on a project, like in art, when i was working on my Ink blot coloring project, i enjoyed working on it, so i in fact got so into it, flow kicked in and did the rest. Also i noticed i go in and out of flow quite easily however. If for some reason a loud npise, or osmeone interupts me, my flow instantly disappears, and i cannot just jumo right back into my flow. However i also dont think that anytime of day triggers flow, or is more flow friendly. But i do beilieve that your mental state of that day can change the flow possesion. If i was in a good solid happy mental state, i was more likely to be flowin. If i was depressed, or angry, my flow kind of floats farther, and farther away. Im at my best flow capacity, when i am away from distractions, and friends. That way nothing can pull me away from my flow.

wii have to use you tube more!

Will the hacking of the wii remote lead to the schools having more money?
Will this improve our knowledge of the technology around us?
With this information will it become more common to see schools with the white interactive boards?
Will the industry pick up these ideas or leave them?

In this vdeio Lee shows us how to create a fully functioning active board, like the ones found in many classrooms today for aobut 1% of the cost.

This video for me although it was really short for our typical assignment length, was amazingly interesting, and in my opinion very eye opening. This video makes me want to approach not just our school but every school, and tell them how much money they could be saving, if only we knew these little bits and peices of information. Seeing somebody take something that insignificient, and creating something, that could benefit the lives, nd education of children everywhere it is phenomenal. This literally was jaw-dropping to me. Inspiring, and creative video, to say the least.

:) happiness never fails :)

In this video happiness is discussed, but not just regular happiness, how about synthetic, or non realistic hapiness.

In this talk gilbert describes how happiness, tends to be more fake, or used to deflect failure, or play it off so to speak, rather than actual happiness. In my eyes happiness is making your own decisions, and other people going with it, or agreeing, and providing thier own opinion. I enjoyed this ted talk, because it points out the truth in todays society. In my idea of a utopia, or perfect society happiness is 100% legitament, so i like the way gilbert describes how we as people in today's society use our happiness as a way to fail ourselves.

Juggling Juggling Juggling

In this video micheal explains how he took the time to leanr to blaance, juggles, and manage his foot work, to make a type of music that in my opinion is quite interesting.

The reason i chose this video is i loved how it demonstrated persistence, and made me feel like i could do anything. This video is amazing, considering he makes music while juggling. This video has showed me that the brain is powerful, and if we learn to tame it, or leanr how to sufficently use it, it can lead to amazing qualities. Also while watching it made want to apply myself twice as much to whatever i do, because watching him be able to do this, and how he taught himself was quite amazing.

Math Madness

In this TED talk math and the human brain combine to become the ultimate tests.

This TED talk shows the power of the human brain, it shows how anything is possible, as long as you break it down, and assess one problem at a time. This math magician is astonishing; he takes each problem, and puts his mind to the test, even solving a 5 digit squaring problem, at the end for a grand finale. He explains throughout the video, that it is not a matter of studying, or book work, it’s being able to control, and access the powers of your mind. By being able to breakdown mentally each problem, step by step, he then is able to make it ten times easier to solve the near impossible mental problem. This video is ultra encouraging for me, it shows me what potential i can or do have, if i were to just take my time, and thoroughly breakdown walk step throughout my problem solving process.
